Lamar Odom cuts a healthier figure as he steps out for dinner with friends

His meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday to discuss rejoining the team is said to have gone well.


And perhaps Lamar Odom was in the mood to celebrate later that evening.
The 33-year-old looked healthier than he has in months as he stepped out for dinner with friends at Gavar Cuisine in Los Angeles.

The basketball player sported a fuller face, which in previous weeks has appeared gaunt and haggard.
He wore black Nike tracksuit bottoms, white trainers and a white T-shirt for the social outing.
Lamar - whose marriage to Khloe Kardahsian is allegedly on the rocks - wore a beaded necklace with a cross pendant.

Lamar - who has reportedly been doing drugs all summer - was seen emerging from behind a bamboo door as he exited the Middle Eastern restaurant.
He was seen saying goodbye to this dinner companions (or perhaps greeting a fan) with a kiss on the cheek.
Lamar then made his way to his waiting car outside the Glendale restaurant.

Meanwhile, Lamar was seen getting his head shaved earlier in the day just prior to a meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers, the basketball team he was with two years ago and wants to rejoin, according to TMZ.
In two photos posted on Instagram by his LA hair stylist Enzo, the estranged husband of Khloe Kardashian looks healthier than he has in months.

Freshened up: Earlier in the day, Lamar got his head shaved by his LA stylist Enzo just prior to a meeting with executives of the Lakers basketball team

Lamar seemed focused as he looked into the camera.
He even showed off the star that his stylist skillfully shaved around the side of his head.
Enzo captioned one of the Instagram photos, 'Wish em the best of luck in his meeting wit the Lakers today.'

TMZ reports that 'things went well' with the Lakers executives though 'nothing's been signed.'
The site noted, 'Lamar's first choice has always been to return to the Lakers.'
The athlete played with the Mavericks then the Clippers after he left the Lakers two years ago.
It seems incredible that the reality TV character would be fit enough to take a meeting with the Lakers, let alone actually be able to play with them next season, considering all that he's been through for the past few months.

Over the summer he was knee-deep in several scandals.
One was about his alleged affairs with at least three different women, including attorney Polina Polonsky.
Then there were claims that he was using cocaine and other drugs. In August he was arrested for a DUI after driving too slowly on an LA freeway and refused to take a chemical test.
He also moved out of the Tarzana house he shared with wife of four years Khloe, though both have continued to wear their wedding rings as they lead separate lives.

TMZ reports that the former Sixth Man player has turned his life around by cutting off drugs cold turkey and writes that lately he has 'sounded more like his old self.'
On October 3 the site alleged that Lamar - who turns 34 on November 6 - had been sober for three days.
Willpower and his passion to return to the court have made him go clean, the site says.
Lamar also reportedly has ended his friendship with a lot of the people he was doing drugs with.
He won't go to rehab, but it's been reported he's open to private counseling.
Meanwhile, his estranged wife has been out partying with rapper The Game.
On Friday they sipped Coconut Ciroc vodka and put their arms around each other as they posed for photos at the LA nightclub Roxbury.
The two have been spending a lot of time together in recent weeks, hanging out at Tru nightclub and even taking in a bowling date at Pinz.
But the singer insists Lamar has nothing to worry about.
'Khloe is my friend,' the musician has said.
'She is like a sister. We have never [slept together] and will never be sleeping together.'
